DAVID CLARK

MEET THE BOARD

David Clark brings over 40 years of leadership in banking and public service to the Statue of Responsibility Foundation. A retired Senior Vice President of International Trade and Finance at Zions Bank, Clark also had a distinguished political career, serving as a member of the Utah House of Representatives, where he was elected Speaker of the House in 2008. His expertise in finance, governance, and policy has been instrumental in advancing the vision of the Statue of Responsibility.

For over 13 years, Clark has played a key role in the foundation, helping to shape its strategic direction and advocating for the importance of responsibility as a core national value. His deep understanding of economic and legislative frameworks has provided valuable insight into fundraising and organizational planning for the monument.

A lifelong advocate for community and civic engagement, Clark believes the Statue of Responsibility represents a defining message for future generations—reinforcing the idea that freedom must be accompanied by responsibility. He continues to work alongside fellow board members and supporters to bring Viktor Frankl’s vision to life.

Mr. Clark and his wife, Nan, reside in Santa Clara, Utah, where they have raised their four children.
